With 100.swiss, a platform was created to enable Swiss citizens to actively participate in a major project of national importance: choosing a name for the deep geological repository. The initiative brings together representatives of Nagra, the Nördlich Lägern region and the Canton of Zurich. In collaboration with Mosaik & Partners, we developed a modern digital identity that engages the public and invites them to co-create. The website is available in four languages – German, French, Italian and English – to ensure accessibility for the entire Swiss population.

A consistent branding for a joint initiative
Since the project involves several organizations, it required a distinct branding that works independently of each stakeholder. Using our Web First Branding approach, we created a visual identity that feels modern and emphasizes the idea of the future. Colors, typography and imagery were carefully chosen to convey both seriousness and openness. This approach allowed the creation of a neutral brand that all partners can stand behind. At the same time, it builds trust among citizens and makes it easier to communicate such a complex topic.

Development, automation and multilingual setup with Webflow
The entire website was built with Webflow, providing a flexible and scalable foundation. A key feature is the ability for citizens to either submit their own name ideas or generate suggestions with the help of an integrated AI automation. This way, the platform combines participation with innovative technology. A direct integration ensures that the generated suggestions are instantly displayed and submitted on the website. Special attention was also paid to usability, making participation accessible to all user groups. With Webflow, the content can be extended at any time, ensuring flexibility for future communication needs. Another key element is the multilingual setup: all content is available in German, French, Italian and English, making the platform accessible not only across Switzerland but also to an international audience. The website was also designed to be quickly adapted for the next phase of the campaign: in Phase II, the names preselected by the jury will be presented to the general public for voting.

100.swiss demonstrates how modern technologies, participatory processes and inclusive design in four languages can come together to actively involve society in decisions of national importance.
